What are the current tax rates?

The New Zealand tax rates range from 19.5 to 39 cents in the dollar depending on income level.

The tax rates are:

• 19.5 cents in every dollar for income up to $38,000
• 33 cents in every dollar for income from $38,001 to $60,000
• 39 cents in every dollar for income of $60,000 or above

GST (Goods & Services Tax) is 12.5 per cent.
